KILLDEVIL HILLS – Arvella Willis Peele, 89, formerly of Frisco and lastresided in Kill Devil Hills, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Spring Arborof The Outer Banks. A native of Hatteras, she was the daughter of thelate Hobson Willis and Martha Farrow Willis. Arvella was a formermember of Frisco Assembly of God.
Along with her parents, Arvella was preceded in death by her husband,William Elisha Peele, Sr.; great-grandson, Daniel; five brothers,Hobson Willis, Jr., David Ellis Willis, Otis Desmond Willis, HarrieWillis, and Perley Willis; and a sister, Myrna Willis Daniels.
Arvella is survived by two children, William “Bill” Peele, Jr. andwife, Carolyn, and Malcolm Peele, both of Buxton; grandchildren,Corrina Wescott, Crystal Ambrose (Jeff), Debbie Austin (George), DanaWaterfield, and Michele Quidley; great-grandchildren, Noah, Ben,Hannah, Josh (Colby), John, Hannah (Justin), Justin (Jessea), Spencer,Carley, and Taj; and great-great-grandchildren, Faylor, Ella, Every,and Kacey. Also surviving are two siblings, Sylvia Sawyer and DelmerWillis and wife, Margaret.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 atTwiford Colony Chapel in Manteo with Pastor Steve Smith officiating.Burial will take place at Cudworth cemetery. The family will receivefriends and relatives at the funeral home one hour prior to theservice.
