HATTERAS — Gearldine FulcherFarrow, 80, of Hatteras, NC died Thursday, December 14, 2017, at CrossCreek Health Care Center in Swan Quarter. A native of Hatteras Island,she was born August 19, 1937, to the late Ina Oden Fulcher and LevenFulcher, Sr.
Gearldine spent many years on the water while her family served in theUnited States Coast Guard and worked in the commercial fishingindustry. An active member of Avon Worship Center, she served hercommunity on a variety of boards and committees. She was loved by allwho knew her.
Gearldine is survived by a son, Dale Farrow of Buxton; a granddaughter,Angel Billhimer of Buxton; a grandson, Ronald Billhimer, Jr. ofFederalsburg, MD; a brother, Erskine Fulcher (Charlotte) of Buxton;three great-granddaughters; six great-great-grandchildren; and threenephews.
Along with her parents, Gearldine was preceded in death by her husband,Eldon Farrow, Sr.; a son, Eldon Farrow, Jr.; a daughter, Rose Porter;and two brothers, Royce Fulcher and Leven Fulcher, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 13,2018, at Faith Life Worship Center with Pastor Bryan Gray officiating.
