Barbara Ann Wise

Barbara Ann Wise, born on October 7, 1941, in Nags Head, NC, passed away on August 28, 2024, at her daughter Sarah Dozier’s home in Raleigh, NC.

Barbara was a dog groomer with a deep love for animals. She spent most of her life taking care of dogs in her grooming business. She started her dog grooming career in Manteo, NC and later moved and opened a grooming business in Atlantic, VA on the Eastern Shore. Barbara spent her retirement living in Raleigh.

Preceding Barbara in death were her parents, Jack D. Wise, Sr. and Pearl Lewark Johnson, as well at her daughter, Tami Ann Wolf Reber. She leaves behind two daughters, Sarah Burrus Dozier and Mary Burrus Basnight, two siblings, Justine ONeal and John Wise, and numerous grandchildren.

Barbara will be laid to rest in Dolly Cemetery in Nags Head Woods on Sunday, September 1, 2024, surrounded by her family.
