FRISCO — Bruce Jarvis Midgett, born on December 18, 1957, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away on July 17, 2023, in Frisco, NC. He was 65.
His battle with cancer went on for 14 years. No matter what he faced during those years his attitude never faltered. He always had a smile and would say “It’s all good”. He is an inspiration to all who knew him.
Bruce had a way to make everyone he met feel special. He loved to visit friends and family, whether it was in Montauk NY, Cape Hatteras NC or Cocoa Beach FL. No one lived too far away for him to visit.
Bruce had an eventful life, starting his career as a pastry chef before venturing out to establish his own seal coating business. However, his true passion lay in the art of baking. Nothing made him happier than seeing the delight people had once tasting one of his many recipes.
He will be dearly missed by those who survive him, including his mother, Dorothy Fernandez Midgett, sister Debra Midgett, brothers Michael Midgett and James Midgett, as well as his nieces Sydney Midgett and Madison Whitley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Percy Midgett, and brother, Richard “OJ” Midgett. Their memories will forever be cherished by Bruce’s loved ones in the midst of their grief.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to come together and honor his memory. As we remember Bruce, may we find solace in the beautiful moments we shared with him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
