WANCHESE — David Bradford Reber, 61, of Wanchese, NC died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC after a long battle with chronic kidney disease.
Born in Elizabeth City, NC on March 9, 1960, he was the son of the late Catherine Payne Reber and John H. Reber. Braddy lived his entire life in Wanchese and found much comfort living in the village where generations of his family also resided. During his many years of kidney dialysis, he made many friends that provided weekly moral support and other assistance. And to all those people, family and friends, that played a big part in his ongoing health struggles, thank you very much.
Braddy is survived by his two daughters, Carla Reber and Christina Reber; four sisters, Jean, Pearline, Gwen, and Cathy (Randy); four brothers, Sonny (Ginger), Crawford (Vicki), Chris (Rikki), and Louie; his aunt and uncle, Jean and Louie; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Braddy was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl after 37 years of marriage. There are no plans for a memorial at this time. In lieu of flowers, friends and family wishing to honor David are urged to please make donations directly to the funeral home to assist his daughters with David’s cremation expenses.
