Dorothy H. Godon

NAGS HEAD — Dorothy H. Godon, 93, passed away peacefully on the evening of January 3, 2023, at Outers Bank Hospital in Nags Head, NC.

Born and raised in Morris County, NJ, Dorothy married Stanley W. Godon in 1950, living in Morris Plains, NJ.  She was a homemaker, raising four children, living there until she and her husband retired and moved to Central Florida.  She was pre-deceased by her husband, in 2015, and in 2017 came to live with her daughter in Nags Head.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Susan, of Nags Head, NC; a son, Robert of Morris Plains, NJ; daughter, Victoria of Juneau, Alaska; and a son, Thomas of Neshanic Station, NJ; as well as 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her long life is being planned for the spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: osceolacountypets.com. She loved to visit and donate to the pets there for adoption, with a special adoration for cats.
