On April 14, 2024, Helle Kjersgaard Cullen passed away at the age of 79. Helle was born on June 13, 1944, in Copenhagen, Denmark. When she married Larry Cullen, she moved to New Jersey and lived there until 1998. That same year, she and Larry moved to Frisco, NC, and enjoyed the island life for the next 25 years. Widowed in 2014, Helle had her island family for love and support. Helle is survived by her son Kurt, sister Dorthe Flarup, and one grandchild. A celebration of life will take place on June 10, 2024, at 4 pm at the Cape Hatteras Baptist Church.
