SOUTHERN SHORES — Howard Warren Goldstein, born on July 4, 1942, in Bronx, NY, passed away on June 13, 2023, in Southern Shores, NC at the age of 80. Howard was the son of the late Ester Ryshpan Goldstein and Joseph Goldstein of Margate, Florida.
Howard lived and worked in New York City where he was a business owner specializing in manufacturing in the garment industry. He stumbled upon the Outer Banks in the late 1980s and soon after moving there, opened Cravings Coffee Shop in Duck, NC. He settled in Southern Shores and loved spending time at the beach. Most evenings you could find him listening to live music all over Duck. He enjoyed cooking and spending time on his porch playing Scrabble. He was an Outer Banks resident for over 30 years and will be missed dearly by his many friends. He will be remembered as a devoted father, brother, and friend.
Howard is survived by his two daughters, Rachel Lujbli of Greenwood Lake, NY, and her husband Erik; Hayley Wiggins of Huntington Station, NY, and her husband Wayne. His grandchildren Jacob, Ben, Luke, and Nikolas; and his brother Lester Goldstein and his wife Sandy. He is also survived by his nephews Jared (Jill ) and Evan (Rachel) Goldstein.
A celebration of Howard’s life will be held at a later date.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
