KILL DEVIL HILLS — Jacquelyn Ann Williamson Fitton, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, in Kill Devil Hills, NC, at the age of 81. Born on April 29, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA, she lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and work.
Throughout her career, Jacquelyn was known for her commitment and professionalism. She spent her early working years in Pittsburgh, PA, where she contributed significantly to the human resources department at Rockwell International. Later, she continued her career with Stan White Realty after relocating to Kill Devil Hills, NC, where she was valued for her expertise and warmth.
Jacquelyn was predeceased by her beloved parents, Edna George Williamson and John Michael Williamson, Jr., and her sister, Jayne Marie Schenck.
Her legacy lives on through her devoted husband, David T. Fitton, and their six children: Victoria Ann Buczkowski of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Constance Marie Burge of St. Louis, MO; Cindy Louise Duffey (Stephen) of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Erin Kathleen Croteau (John) of Attleboro, MA; Kelly Maureen Pepe (James) of Attleboro, MA; and Michael David Fitton (Jennifer) of Pawtucket, RI. Jacquelyn was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. She is survived by her two brothers, J. Michael Williamson and Ronald Williamson, whose bonds remained strong throughout her life.
A celebration of Jacquelyn’s life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo, NC. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories beginning at 11:00 am, as they honor the life of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of so many.
Jacquelyn will be remembered with love and fondness by all who knew her. Her spirit and kindness will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
