Joni Love Newman

It is with great sadness that the family of Joni Love Newman announces her sudden passing. Joni was a free spirit, always dancing to the beat of her own drum. She loved horses, collecting sea glass, and spending as much time at the beach as she could. A beloved mother, sister, and friend, she left this world as a result of a car accident on October 6th, 2021 at age 60.

Joni was predeceased by her parents Ruth and Stanley Newman. She is survived by her four siblings, Julie Tolson (Bobby), Stan Newman (Missy), Tony Newman (Marlene) of Columbia, NC, and Stevie Newman (Wendy) of Bellwood, PA. She is also survived by two children, Zach Fisher, and Carli Cox. Her family will honor her legacy by living their own lives to the fullest.

A simple celebration of Joni’s life is scheduled for 2 pm on Monday, October 11th, 2021. Her cremated remains will be interred at the south side of Jennette’s Pier and the family will be receiving condolences at the home of Julie Tolson following the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting contributions towards her cremation costs made directly to Gallop Funeral Services in Nags Head (252-216-8030).

Expressions of sympathy and comfort are welcome via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com.  Gallop Funeral Services, Inc., was entrusted with arrangements.
