WANCHESE — Judy Diane Perry Payne, 76, of Wanchese, NC died Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center – Greenville.
Born in Pasquotank County on August 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Nora Sawyer Perry and Fred Arnold Perry.
Judy was known for her delicious country-style cooking. She was loving, easy-going and loved animals. A member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Judy assisted with Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by her husband, Donald S. Payne; two daughters, Donna Payne and Brenda Rogers; one son, Eric Payne; and one grandson, Derick B. Baum.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Larry, Barry, and Baby Boy Payne; and a sister, Deborah Perry.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 15, 2021, at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Private burial will take place at Austin Cemetery, Kitty Hawk. The family request masks are worn by all.
