WAVES — June Marie Williams, age 53, of Waves, NC, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024, in Kill Devil Hills, NC. She was born on February 22, 1971.
June was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She graduated from Cape Hatteras School and dedicated her life to her family and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McDowell; and two cherished grandchildren, Wayne, Jr. and Nolan.
June is survived by her loving parents, Ronald and Judy Williams of Waves; daughters, Brandi O’Neal (Liam) of Waves and Precious McDowell of Kitty Hawk; sons, Nicholas O’Neal (Sheryl) of Avon, Christian “Grey” McDowell of Nags Head, and Francis “Alex” McDowell of Avon; grandchildren, Presley, Cylus, Khali, and Jordan; sister, Angela O’Neal (Ed) of Waves; brother, Ronnie Williams (Gina) of Frisco; nieces and nephews, Lindsey, Victoria, Amber, Lynzie, Kaison, Malachi, Axel, Jedidiah, and Adayah; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of June’s life will take place at 2:00 pm on April 6, 2024, at the residence of Ronald and Judy (25271 NC 12 Hwy, Waves, NC 27982). All are invited to wear purple, which was June’s favorite color and the hue of her birthstone.
May she rest in peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.
