NAGS HEAD — Margaret “Peggy” Freeman Gladden, the loving wife of Eric Gladden for 21 years, passed away on September 10, 2024, at her home in Nags Head, NC, after a battle with cancer. Her husband and best friend, Sue Mullen of Virginia Beach, VA, were by her side.
In addition to Eric and Sue, Peggy is survived by her son, John “Jack” Filer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rachel Peterson Freeman and Rinehart Freeman.
For many years, Peggy worked as a sales representative for multiple moving companies in Tidewater, VA, providing her with funny and interesting stories to share. She loved the beach and adored her cats. Peggy and Eric enjoyed traveling together in their motorhome.
To say she will be missed by those who loved her is a huge understatement. Comfort is found knowing she is no longer in pain and rejoicing with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with details to be announced.
