KILL DEVIL HILLS — Michelle Kathleen Henshaw, “Missy,” of Kill Devil Hills, NC passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 42. She was born on September 11, 1981, in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Missy’s passing leaves behind a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She was kind and loving, a light to those who knew her.
Missy graduated from Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, VA, and continued her education by earning an associate degree in business administration from the College of the Albemarle. She left a lasting impression on those she met with her warm and friendly demeanor.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lynne Ellen Cook and Raymond Munro Henshaw. She is survived by her brother Graham R. Henshaw and his wife Laurel of Williamsburg, VA, and her partner Brian Hughes of Kill Devil Hills, NC.
A service to honor Missy’s memory will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Jennette’s Pier (7223 S Virginia Dare Trail, Nags Head, NC 27959). Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Missy are invited to attend and pay their respects.
Missy will forever be remembered for her sweet, gentle spirit and the love she shared with those around her. May she find eternal peace and may her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her loss.
