WANCHESE — Nicole Lynn Shifflett, 40, of Wanchese, NC, began dancing with the angels on October 14, 2024. Born on August 14, 1984, Nicole’s tenacious spirit brought love, light, and laughter to all. Her sweet smile and sassy nature will be remembered by everyone who was blessed to know her.
Nicole is a beloved daughter to Roy and Kathy Shifflett, and a cherished sister to Nathan and Natalie. She adored her nephews Brendon, Isaac, Matthew, and Noah. She is also survived by a large host of extended family and caregivers.
She attended Manteo High School and was a lifelong avid reader, averaging 500 books a year (She kept a list!). Nicole loved playing board games, watching Wheel of Fortune, creating art projects, playing games on her computer and listening to country music.
The family will hold a service to celebrate Nicole’s life at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Twiford Colony Chapel with Rev. David Daniels and Rev. Patricia Tillett officiating. A viewing and time of visitation will begin one hour prior.
