Robert M. Frank III, affectionately known as Bobby, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Born on January 31, 1989, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Bobby spent most of his life on the Outer Banks of North Carolina surrounded by family and friends. He found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in fishing, hunting, and being on the water, where he felt most at peace. Despite life’s rough waters, Bobby’s eyes sparkled when reminiscing on good times with fondness and warmth.
Though he faced his share of challenges, Bobby’s heart of gold shined through. His love for his family, especially his son, Robert, was his greatest source of pride. Bobby’s contagious laughter and unconditional friendship touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving a mark of compassion and love that will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his cherished son, Robert M. Frank IV; his loving mother, Lisa Koehler-Frank; his devoted father and best friend, Robert M. (Karen) Frank Jr.; his beloved sister, Heather (Guy) Sholar, and nephew Archer, as well as his cousin Ray (Bridget) Scott and uncle Chris Frank who were more like brothers to him. Bobby also leaves behind a close-knit extended family, including his aunts and uncles, Lisa and Ray, Jon and Kathy, Drew and Valerie, Lori, and Cari, who served as second sets of parents, often offering guidance and support throughout his life’s journey. Additionally, he is survived by cousins Ali, Scott, Jenny, Jessie, Drew, Shelby, and a handful of younger cousins, all of whom held a special place in his life.
Bobby leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but his memory will be forever cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have loved him. His spirit will continue to live on and his light will forever shine bright in our hearts.
