Victor L. Ballance, a native of Hatteras, the son of the late Lester and Emilia Ballance, passed away on July 24, 2021, at the age of 56. He was residing in Encinitas California for the past several years.
Victor was a waterman in all respects, he started out crabbing with his father in Hatteras as a little boy and continued to commercial fish all up and down the entire eastern seaboard. Victor was a hard worker and a big-hearted individual and carried the nickname, “The Gentle Giant”.
Victor is survived by his son, Christian of Avon; Brother-in-law Buddy Foster; Nephew Marshall and wife Ashleigh Foster and their daughters, Emily and Kinleigh; and Niece Krystal and husband Donnie Jones, all of Hatteras.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Emilia Ballance, and sister Faye B Foster.
Victor is gone, but will never be forgotten.
