Walter “Wally” Richard Ivers

May 4, 1968 – June 24, 2020

Aberdeen, NJ — Walter “Wally” Richard Ivers, 52, of Aberdeen, NJ died suddenly on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 while vacationing on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 4, 1968, he was the son of Hannah Purdon Ivers and the late Daniel Ivers.

An avid Jets and Mets fan, Wally’s passion for sports was evident through his coaching of track and handball and his career as a high school PE teacher. He enjoyed the beach and reading but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nora Martin; three sons, Jack, Max, and Aidan; sister, Catherine Seton-Harris (Robert); brother, Daniel Ivers, Jr. (Michele); niece, Madyson; nephew, Dylan; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Martin (Liz).

A Catholic prayer service will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2020, at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, NC by Rev. Dr. William F. Walsh, osfs.
