SOUTHERN SHORES — William Patrick Parker, 77, of Southern Shores, North Carolina, passed away on July 7, 2024. He was a native of Isle of Wight County, Virginia and the son of the late Albert Staley Parker and Cleo Powell Parker.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Margie) Rose Parker; his daughter, Autumn M. Parker; and son, Justin T. Parker. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Kobe Davis, Zane Edwards, Eleanor Edwards, Abigail Parker, and Jaxon Parker. Always in his thoughts and in his heart were Alan, Brian and Lori.
Patrick lived the last year of his life his way and on his terms, and was happy for the love and support of his family and friends. Patrick was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband to his wife, beginning with their meet cute in Williamsburg, Virginia and throughout their 50 year marriage. He loved tracing family history with his daughter, and never missed a soccer game cheering on his son. Patrick doted on his five grandchildren who fondly remember trips to the park and going out for ice cream with Pop Pop. In addition, he was favorite “Uncle Pat” to his many nieces and nephews.
Patrick was a successful business owner in Virginia for many years before moving to the Outer Banks later in life. There, he earned his broker’s license and worked as a property manager cultivating a loyal following of homeowners who became friends. Patrick was a people person and a gifted writer who enjoyed sharing his “Pondering Thoughts” with family and friends.
Interment will be private. The family is residing at 716 Arvilla Lane, Manteo, NC 27954.
Our beloved husband and dad will live on in our hearts, and we will remain the Core 4… always.
