National Seashore Facilities Reopen as NPS Employees Head Back to Work

With the enactment of the continuing resolution, staff at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, and Wright Brothers National Memorial resumed regular operations today.

“I wish to thank the local Outer Banks community for offering assistance to federal employees during the lapse in appropriations,” said National Parks of Eastern North Carolina Superintendent David Hallac.

Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, and Wright Brothers National Memorial employees are happy to be back at work, serving the American people and welcoming visitors to their national parks.
