NPS Outer Banks Group is looking for volunteers
In 1970, the Volunteers-In-Parks program started with a few hundred volunteers. Today, more than 246,000 volunteers donate their time, skills, and talents to show their love for the National Park Service (NPS).
Receptionist (Manteo) – Provide customer service at the front desk and provide administration support. Needed now!
Information Technology Assistant (Manteo) – Assist the information technology specialist with various tasks at headquarters and throughout the three park units. Needed now!
Lighthouse Assistant (Bodie & Hatteras islands) – Interact with visitors, climb the lighthouse, and support the interpretation operation. Starting in March.
Fee Collection Assistant (Bodie & Hatteras islands) – Serve as a front-line representative, interact with the public, and collect fees. Starting in April.
Visitor Center Assistant (Wright Brothers National Memorial & Fort Raleigh National Historical Site) – Provide customer service at the front desk. Needed now!
