Cape Hatteras National Seashore’s beach access webpage receives a makeover
The Cape Hatteras National Seashore’s beach access webpage has received a makeover for 2023, with a new look that is designed to make it easier to scan and read on multiple devices.
The beach access webpage provides information on seasonal closures and conditions throughout the National Seashore, with information on each ORV ramp from Bodie Island to southern Ocracoke.
At this time of year, the beach access status webpage doesn’t require frequent updates, however, the public can view the new layout at http://go.nps.gov/beachaccess.
In addition to the beach access webpage, (which is updated when needed), beachgoers can sign up for text alerts on seasonal access changes, safety concerns, and other information like beach cleanup opportunities.
To sign up for text alerts from the Cape Hatteras National Seashore:
- Text NPSOBXto 333111 to receive general park text alerts.
- Text CAHAORVto 333111 to receive beach access text alerts.
