Earth Day celebratioon set for April 20
April 20 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT
On Saturday April 20 from 10 am to 1 pm, the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Civic Association (RWSCA) will host an Earth Day Celebration at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building at 23646 NC Hwy 12 in Rodanthe (across from the Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station).
Festivities will be held rain or shine. Bring the family and enjoy planting stations for children big and small as well as make seed balls for wildflowers and other crafts. Try out a “Plant Swap” and pick up free native plants and trees (while supplies last), including Eastern Red Bud trees, cardinal flowers, swamp milkweed and more.
Community and government agencies will be present to share information and offer fun activities. Guests include:

Beekeepers from Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo

Dare County Sheriff’s Office – Medication Drop

Raffles will benefit the RWSCA pathway beautification efforts in our three villages. While multiple themed baskets are being gathered, but there will also be live plants including Indian Hawthornes, Jasmine vine, Live Oak trees and Turkey Fig tree as part of the raffle.
