Join Allyson Ropp, a maritime archaeologist and historic preservation archaeological specialist with the NC Office of State Archaeology, for a presentation that looks at how hurricanes impact the work of finding and preserving history. The informal lecture is part of the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum’s Salty Dawgs Lecture Series, which features presentations on North Carolina maritime history and culture. These talks are scheduled at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays from June 4 through Aug. 27 in the museum, located at 59200 Museum Drive in Hatteras. The series is free and open to the public.
