Hatteras Island CERT to offer Basic Training Class Starting March 7

The Hatteras Island Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) be offering the CERT basic training class for anyone in the community who may be interested in attending. The training is designed to cover the following:
• Disaster Preparedness
• Fire Safety
• Disaster Medical-Triage and Treating Life Threatening Injuries
• Team Organization
• Disaster Psychology
• Terrorism
• CERT Specifics
The course is designed to help everyone in the community to learn how to take care of themselves, their families, and their neighbors, before, during and after an emergency or significant event like a hurricane. The course is free to the public.
CERT will hold their first meeting on March 7, 2019 at Frisco Fire Station, in Frisco starting at 7:00 p.m.
