Commissioners set first Hatteras town hall meeting for Feb. 4

The Dare County Board of Commissioners will host a town hall meeting on Thursday, Feb. 4,at 6:30 p.m. at the Fessenden Center in Buxton.

‘This will be an opportunity for citizens to share new ideas, solutions, and suggestions in a casual, open forum,” the county said in a news release about the event.

Anyone may speak, and there are no time limits on comments.

This is the second year that the county has hosted town hall meetings and the first one to be held on Hatteras. Last year’s meeting was in Manteo only, and the board had this year’s town hall meeting in Manteo on Jan. 19.
