Meetings Set to Discuss Power Outage Lawsuit Settlement
The class action lawsuit that was filed as a result of the power outage that occurred on Haterras Island and Ocracoke Island in July 2017 has been settled and has been preliminarily approved by the United States District Court.
On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, attorney Dennis Rose from the Kill Devil Hills law firm of Rose Harrison & Gilreath, will be at the Chicamacomico Fire Station on Hatteras Island from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to provide information and to answer questions that people may have regarding the settlement or the claims process. The Chicamacomico Fire Station is located at 27209 Roth Road, in Salvo, North Carolina 27972.
On Wednesday, May 16, 2018 attorneys Robert Zaytoun and Steve Lacy we will be at the Ocracoke Community Center from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to provide information and to answer questions that people may have regarding the settlement or the claims process. The Community Center is located at 999 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, NC 27960.
