6 additional COVID-19 cases reported on Monday, bringing Dare County total to 402
Dare County announced 6 additional positive COVID-19 test results on Monday, August 18, bringing the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 402.
The 6 additional cases consist of 2 residents and 4 non-residents, and include the following:
1) resident, 18-24, male, isolating outside of Dare County
2) non-resident, 50-64, male, transferred isolation
3) non-resident, 50-64, male, transferred isolation
4) resident, 50-64, male, home isolation
5) non-resident, 65 older, female, transferred isolation
6) non-resident, 65 older, male, transferred isolation
Per the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, (which was last updated Monday morning), at least 47 of 212 resident cases are from Hatteras Island. This includes 11 cases in Avon, 28 cases in Buxton, and 8 cases in Frisco.
