6 additional COVID-19 cases reported on Monday evening, bringing Dare County total to 453
Dare County announced 6 additional positive COVID-19 test results on Monday evening, August 31, bringing the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 453. (Two additional COVID-19 cases were also reported earlier in the day on Monday.)
The 6 additional cases consist of 1 resident and 5 non-residents, and include the following:
1) non-resident, 17 under, female, transferred isolation
2) non-resident, 17 under, male, transferred isolation
3) resident, 18-24, male, home isolation
4) non-resident, 50-64, female, transferred isolation
5) non-resident, 25-49, female, transferred isolation
6) non-resident, 25-49, female, transferred isolation
Per the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, (which was last updated Tuesday morning), at least 47 of 243 resident cases are from Hatteras Island. This includes 11 cases in Avon, 28 cases in Buxton, and 8 cases in Frisco.
