7 additional COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday, bringing Dare County total to 413
Dare County announced 7 additional positive COVID-19 test results on Thursday, August 20, bringing the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 413.
The 6 additional cases consist of 5 residents and 2 non-residents, and include the following:
1) resident, 65 older, female, home isolation
2) non-resident, 18-24, female, isolating in Dare
3) resident, 25-49, female, home isolation
4) resident, 18-24, female, isolating outside Dare
5) resident, 25-29, female, home isolation
6) resident, 25-39, male, home isolation
7) non-resident, 25-49, female, isolating in Dar
Per the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, (which was last updated Friday morning), at least 47 of 218 resident cases are from Hatteras Island. This includes 11 cases in Avon, 28 cases in Buxton, and 8 cases in Frisco.
New positive cases are updated on the dashboard of the Dare County website and are shared on the DHHS Facebook page when information is received.
