8 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Dare County on Thursday afternoon
Dare County announced 8 additional positive COVID-19 test results on Thursday, July 2, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 121.
The 8 additional cases consist of 5 residents and 3 non-residents, and include the following:
1) Female Resident 18-24 years of age, home isolation
2) Female Resident, 18-24 years of age, home isolation
3) Male Non-resident 18-24 years of age, isolation in Dare
4) Male Resident 18-24 years of age, home isolation
5) Male Non-resident 18-24 years of age, isolation in Dare
6) Male Resident 18-24 years of age, home isolation
7) Female Resident 18-24 years of age, home isolation
8) Female Non-resident 18-24 years of age, isolation in Dare
There have been a total of 68 resident COVID-19 cases and 53 non-resident cases since the first case was identified in Dare County in March.
Per the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, (which was last updated Friday morning), at least 17 of 59 resident cases are from Hatteras Island. This includes 4 cases in Avon, 9 cases in Buxton, and 4 cases in Frisco.
