9 additional COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday, bringing Dare County total to 356
Dare County announced 9 additional positive COVID-19 test results on Saturday, August 1, bringing the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 356.
The 9 additional cases consist of 5 residents and 4 non-residents, and include the following:
1) resident, 25-49, female, home isolation
2) non-resident, 18-24, female, Isolating in Dare
3) resident, 25-49, female, home isolation
4) non-resident, 25-49, male, transferred isolation
5) non-resident, 18-24, female, transferred isolation
6) non-resident, 18-24, female, transferred isolation
7) resident, 65 over, male, home isolation
8) resident, 18-24, female, home isolation
9) resident, 65 over, male, home isolation
Per the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, (which was last updated Saturday morning), at least 47 of 198 resident cases are from Hatteras Island. This includes 11 cases in Avon, 28 cases in Buxton, and 8 cases in Frisco.
