Chairman Bob Woodard Receives COVID-19 Vaccine

Dare County Board of Commissioners Chairman Bob Woodard received his COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at the county’s vaccine clinic in Kill Devil Hills.

1,500 doses of the vaccine were slated to be administered at Saturday’s clinic, which took place at the Dare County Youth Center at Family Recreation Park.

After receiving the vaccine, Woodard praised Dare County Department of Health & Human Services Director Dr. Sheila Davies and her team for their efforts.

“The individuals who are working tirelessly at the county’s vaccine clinics are doing an absolutely phenomenal job,” said Woodard. “They are professional, compassionate and caring, and the efficiency of the operation here in Kill Devil Hills is unmatched anywhere across our state. Thank you to Dr. Davies and her team for a job well done.”

Woodard also issued a reminder to Dare County residents about the important role that receiving the COVID-19 vaccine has in slowing the spread of the virus in the community.

“I strongly urge all of my fellow residents of Dare County to register to receive the COVID-19 vaccine when they become eligible to do so,” said Woodard. “We must all continue to do our part. Getting vaccinated is a safe and effective way to help you and your community put an end to the pandemic.”
