Dare County announces trash collection schedule changes due to inclement weather

Due to the adverse weather conditions, the Dare County Public Works Department has announced that the trash collection scheduled to take place on Monday, December 18, 2023, was canceled.

The revised residential trash collection schedule for the week of Monday, December 18, 2023, through Friday, December 22, 2023, will take place as follows:

• Tuesday, December 19, 2023
  Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras
• Wednesday, December 20, 2023
  Manteo, Wanchese, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Manns Harbor, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon
• Thursday, December 21, 2023
  Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco, and Hatteras
• Friday, December 22, 2023
  Manteo, Wanchese, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Manns Harbor, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon

Commercial trash collection will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 and Friday, December 22, 2023.
