UPDATE: Avon water conservation notice no longer in effect

The water conservation notice is no longer in effect for Avon water customers.
The Dare County Water Department appreciates users’ cooperation in reducing the water consumption until the equipment is repaired and production is restored to full capacity.

Due to a leak in the water line between the villages of Avon and Buxton, the Dare County Water Department is requesting that all water users in the Village of Avon reduce their consumption in an effort to sustain a pressurized water system in the Village of Avon.
The repair crews are currently working and it is expected to take several more hours to complete repairs.
The Dare County Water Department appreciates users’ cooperation in reducing the water consumption until the equipment is repaired and production is restored to full capacity.
