Dare County Schools cancels all after-school activities on Tuesday due to winter weather
Dare County Schools (DCS) issued a message on Tuesday morning, January 21, regarding after-school cancellations due to imminent winter weather.
Additional cancellations are likely on Wednesday, as at least 4-6 inches of snow is expected for the Outer Banks, per the National Weather Service. For more information on the local weather forecast, click here.
The message from DCS is as follows:
Due to wintry weather expected this evening, all after-school activities and After-School Enrichment Programs (ASEP) are canceled today. Additionally, all Dare County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 for staff and students with no remote instruction.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates regarding the schedule for Thursday and Friday as soon as possible.
