Daytime Lane Closures on Basnight Bridge will Begin Wednesday

Per a Tuesday update from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), beginning on Wednesday, NCDOT’s contractor will be conducting daytime lane closures of N.C. Highway 12 on the Basnight Bridge.

The closures are to allow the contractor to put the final epoxy lane markings on the bridge, as well as its approaches.

Travelers should expect 10-15 minute delays while crossing the bridge, starting on Wednesday. The process is expected to take 1-2 days to complete, per NCDOT.
