Election results for Dare County, North Carolina announced
Results are in for the 2022 general election, with 50.53% percent of registered North Carolina voters casting a ballot, for a total of 3,745,547 ballots as of Wednesday morning.
Republicans maintained their two U.S. Senate seats with a victory by Ted Budd. As a result, North Carolina’s delegation in the U.S. House will be evenly split with seven Republicans and seven Democrats.
Republicans also regained their super majority in the North Carolina State Senate, and picked up the majority in the state Supreme Court through 2028, while also winning all four of the state’s Court of Appeals races.
Locally, Ervin Bateman won the only contested Dare County Board of Commissioners race with 62.64% of the votes versus Heather Euler’s 37.36%, and republicans Ron Payne and Matt Brauer won the two Board of Education seats, with Cheryl House winning the Register of Deeds race.
