Heat Advisory continues for the Outer Banks for the third day in a row
Hot and humid weather will continue on Tuesday, as heat indices peak in the 105 to 110-degree range in the afternoon, per an update from the National Weather Service Newport / Morehead City office.
A Heat Advisory has been issued for all of Eastern N.C., including the Outer Banks, for the third day in a row.
On Monday afternoon, 91-degree temperatures were recorded at Cape Hatteras. On Sunday afternoon, 90-degree temperatures and a heat index of 102 degrees was reported in Frisco.
