Heat Advisory in effect for the Outer Banks on Monday
Hot and dry weather will continue on Monday, as temperatures rise into the high 80s and 90s along the Outer Banks, per an update from the National Weather Service Newport / Morehead City office.
A Heat Advisory has been issued for all of Eastern N.C., including the Outer Banks, for heat index values of 100-105 on Monday afternoon and evening.
Per the National Weather Service, high temperatures will continue for the first part of the week, and heat index values will peak on Tuesday between 105 and 110.
