Hyde County down to one active COVID-19 case, per Tuesday update
The Hyde County Health Dept. released the following update for Tuesday, March 16, which provides information on the current COVID-19 case count, and how individuals on the mainland and on Ocracoke Island can schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Today, the COVID-19 counts are as follows:
- Active Cases 1
- Recovered Cases 633
- Deaths 8
- TOTAL COUNT 642
The Health Department has not submitted a press release since February 26, 2021, for two reasons:
- Cases are waning fast. We are currently down to only 1 active case.
- Much information is provided on the NC DHHS website, including, but not limited to the number of cases (by zip code or countywide), deaths, vaccinations, and includes demographics. Go to https://covid19.ncdhhs.gov/dashboard and you can access the data you wish by clicking on the links to the right of the page.
As of today, Hyde County has administered 2,902 shots. Of this total, 975 people are fully vaccinated, and 1,627 are partially vaccinated.
People should continue to practice the 3 Ws. Stay tuned for vaccine eligibility by group.
