Police searching for Hatteras Island resident as a “person of interest” in possible assault on a local woman
Kitty Hawk police are searching for a “person of interest” in a possible July 22 assault that left a local woman hospitalized and unconscious.
Per an update from OBX Today, investigators would like to talk to Jay Tolson of Hatteras Island in connection with a “possible felony assault,” Kitty Hawk Police Chief Joel Johnson said on Friday.
The victim, a resident of Kitty Hawk, has been hospitalized and has been unconscious since the incident, and investigators are trying to determine what happened.
