Reminder: St. John’s UMC in Avon will host 2nd annual all-day bazaar with food, music, kids’ activities, and more
The St. John United Methodist Church (UMC) in Avon is hosting an all-day community bazaar on Thursday, July 21, starting at 8:00 a.m., and continuing until 7:00 p.m. The full-day event features kids’ activities, live music, three homemade meals offered throughout the day, and much more.
The United Methodist Women will be selling homemade biscuits and sausage gravy in the morning, followed by a BBQ lunch, and a fish fry dinner.
“We will [also] have live music under the tent throughout the day, face painting, games, a bouncy house and snowcone machine for the kids, a huge yard sale, and a silent auction,” said Pastor Gina Miller of St. John UMC.
Celebrating its second year in 2022, the annual bazaar serves as a fundraiser for the church’s many community initiatives, including its wintertime free community dinners, (which fed 2,739 people in ten weeks this past year), free produce giveaways, and its Tiny Food Pantry.
The St. John’s United Methodist Church is located at 40336 McMullen Road in Avon village, and everyone is welcome to come visit throughout the day to join in the fun.
