Three deaths in Hyde County attributed to COVID-19
On Thursday, Hyde County Health Department reported that three individuals within the county have died as a result of COVID-19. “This is heartbreaking to our agency, and the staff wish to convey our condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their loved ones,” stated Health Director Luana Gibbs.
As of Wednesday, Hyde County reported a total case count of 102. Of this total, 37 are active cases and 65 cases have recovered. “We are not reporting hospital counts, as follow up to cases is very fluid,” stated the update. “Needless to say, COVID-19 remains prevalent in our communities.”
