Tickets selling fast for 2024 State of Dare County presentation on Jan. 23

The Dare County Board of Commissioners will deliver the annual State of the County presentation on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant in Kill Devil Hills.
The doors will open for seating beginning at 8 a.m., with a full breakfast to be served starting at 8:15 a.m. The Dare County Commissioners’ presentation—whose 2024 theme is “Teamwork”—will begin at 9 a.m.
During the presentation, each of the seven Dare County Commissioners will touch on an array of topics that are important to the citizens of Dare County, including:
- Capital Improvements
- Infrastructure Improvements
- Waterway Accessibility
- Commitment to Education
- Efforts to Combat the Opioid Crisis
- Veteran Services
Seating is limited, and this event has sold out in previous years, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
The cost to attend the 2024 State of the County is $10, which includes a full breakfast provided by Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant as well as attendance at the State of the County presentation.
