KNOTTS ISLAND — Barbara Redmon Crockett, 86, died on Monday, May 30,2016 at Seaside Health Center at Atlantic Shores Retirement Communityin Virginia Beach, Va. Born in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter ofthe late Harold R. Redmon and Lucille Bittner Redmon. Barbara was anurse who also did volunteer work for over 20 years.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Carole Price of Avon and MarshaMozley of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Jessica Holmes, JenniferHarmon, Melissa Cushing and Paul Mozley III; seven great-grandchildren,Kylie Mozley Ward, Finni Harmon, Teddy Harmon, Sophie Holmes, OliveHolmes, Hope Cushing and D.J. Cushing; and a sister, Wanda Burroughs.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, AnnSullivan and Betty Eaton, and two brothers, Donald Redmon and ReedRedmon.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Barbara’s life. Inlieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’schoice.
