FRISCO — Jimmy Allen Willis, 79, died on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 atChesapeake General Hospital. A native of Hatteras, he was the son ofthe late Jasper Willis and Rebecca Ballance Willis. Jimmy served hiscountry honorably with the United States Coast Guard, retiring as aBoatswain’s Mate Chief Petty Officer.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Una Bisset Willis; three daughters,Wanda Willis Pate and husband, James, Johnna Willis Bruce, andJacqueline Willis and husband, Jeff Hall; one son, Brian Willis andwife, Christine; 17 grandchildren, Theresa Gardner, Allen Pennell,Jimmy Willis, Antonio Dominguez, Jon Devin Satterfield, Amy Navarre,Keith Guidry, Tyler Willis Deyarmin, Mya Willis Deyarmin, Gia WillisDeyarmin, Casey Willis, Raven Willis, Indica Willis, Abby Willis, KotaWillis, Sadie Willis and Jasper Willis; and 12 great-grandchildren,Jazmine Pennell, Alexis Moore, Kalab Moore, Phoenix Blair, SerenityPennell, Gage Willis, Ethan Willis, Ronald Willis, Julieanna Dominguez,Gabriela Dominguez, Tieraney Navarre and Paisley Navarre. He alsoleaves behind three sisters, Betty Fisher, Cenith Kopinski and BeckySteele; five brothers, Jack, Bobby, Eugene, Vincent and Virgil Willis;numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members, as well as hisdear friends, Phil and Karen Vernesoni. Along with his parents, Jimmywas predeceased by a son-in-law, Adam Bruce Sr. and a sister, JuneDavis.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, atHatteras United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Davenport officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends ofFelines, c/o Yadkin Bank, PO Box 770, Avon, NC 27915.
