AVON– Edward “Woody” Jones, 70, died Friday, April 17, at his home. He wasborn to the late Charles B. Jones and Eunice Landrum Jones, in Wilson,N.C. Woody joined the United States Marine Corps, and after his time inthe service, he was a supervisor for Firestone Tire Company. Woodyenjoyed fishing and loved his cat “Lucky.”
He is survived byhis loving companion, Teresa Ann Townsend, of Avon; his son, TommyJones of Wilson, and his brother, Charles B. Jones Jr., of Lynn Haven,Fla. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Jo Ann Jones.
A private family service is being planned for a later date.
