PaulaJuanita Fulcher Peele, 82, of Hatteras, died July 27, 2013. She wasborn Oct. 24, 1930, to the late Paula Virginia and Edward HayesFulcher. She was born in Fort Henry, Va., and lived in New York untilthe age of 15. Juanita and her family moved to Buxton in 1946, whereshe met and married the late William Maxton Peele Sr. She was the lastfounding member of Our Lady of the Seas Catholic Church. She is bestknown for managing the KFC in Buxton and as hostess at the ChannelBass, passing her love of food to all her children. Her family was hergreatest love and crowning glory.
She is survived by fourchildren, William Maxton Peele Jr. and his children, Michelle andhusband Tony, Catherine, and William Maxton Peele III; Paula PatriciaPeele and her children, Jennifer Scarborough and I G, Kelsey and Keith,Ryan, AND Amy R. Goodman; Michael Oden Peele and wife Claudia; SharonPeele Kennedy and children Eva, Carrie, and Stan. Jeffery WilliamKennedy, Lily Auna Kennedy, Wesley Hordell, Wyatt Hayes. She is alsosurvived by her sisters, Agnes and Carol, and many nieces and nephewsand family friend, Pat Deffons.
She is predeceased by grandson Michael Peele, an infant granddaughter, and her brother Edwary.
