HATTERAS– Daisy Stowe O’Neal, 89, went to her heavenly home, July 8, 2013. Shewas born in Hatteras on March 16, 1924 to Walter and Nora Stowe. She issurvived by Ephraim O’Neal, her husband of 69 years. She was a faithfulwife, mother, and Granny. Called Mrs. Daisy by the many people who knewher, she was well known for her sweet smile and quiet ways. Her kitchenwas a place that was always open, and the quote is that “There isalways plenty in the pot.” Many visitors have been blessed to eat hercooking.
She is survived by her three children: Wayne O’Neal andJudy, of Piedmont, Ala.; Peggy Braddock and Samuel, of Bonifay, Fla.,and Alethia Joy Willis and Durwood of Hatteras. She is also survived bysix grandchildren: Wayne O’Neal Jr. and Kelly, Lori O’Neal, KennyMcArthur, Brian McArthur and Olga, Woody Willis and Karla, NatashaFarrow and Lester. She was also a very proud Granny to sixgreat-grandchildren: Cody McArthur, Aleah McArthur, Ezekiel Willis,Adalyn Willis, Lester Farrow V (Quin), Cameron O’Neal.
Funeral services were Thursday, July 11, at Hatteras Assembly of God with Pastor Jeyakumar officiating.
